MEDICA 2011: New EUROIMMUN test systems and automation solutions for the serological laboratory

At MEDICA 2011, EUROIMMUN will once again be presenting a host of interesting new developments in autoimmune diagnostics, infectious serology and allergology, for example:
Neurology:
New parameters for the diagnosis of autoimmune encephalitis – target antigens: VGKC (LGI1 + CASPR2), NMDA receptors, AMPA receptors, GABAB receptors.
Dermatology:
Worldwide unique spectrum of products for the detection of autoantibodies in autoimmune bullous dermatoses, including anti-desmoglein 1/ 3, anti-envoplakin and anti-collagen VII NC1.
Coeliac disease:
Comprehensive product range corresponding to newly revised ESPGHAN criteria (Husby et al., JPGN, 2011) for the analysis of autoantibodies against deamidated gliadin peptides (GAF-3X) and endomysium (EmA)/tissue transglutaminase (tTG) as well as the identification of the risk alleles HLA-DQ2/DQ8 (microarray).
Nephrology:
Exclusive test system based on a recombinant transfected cell line (RC-IFT) for the determination of autoantibodies against phospholipase A2 receptors (anti-PLA2R) – a highly specific serological marker for primary membranous glomerulonephritis.
Automated immunofluorescence:
The modular instruments EUROLabLiquidHandler and EUROTide (sample preparation and incubation).
Computer-aided immunofluorescence microscopy (CAIFM):
The system EUROPattern (automated LED microscope and pattern recognition software for evaluation of ANA slides).
On MEDICA Friday(11.18.2011) we will be hosting an immunofluorescence seminar (MEDICA congress no. 336) in cooperation with Carl Zeiss. Start: 13.30 (!), Finish: 18.00, Location: CCD South, 2nd floor, room 28. The seminar is certified with 4 CME points by the Nordrheinischen Akademie für ärztliche Fort- und Weiterbildung (North Rhine Academy for Continuous Education and Specialist Training). If you are interested, please register online (www.medica.de). This year’s program is particularly suitable for beginners in immunofluorescence.
You can find us in Hall 1 (Booth A8) – we look forward to seeing you in Duesseldorf!
